JUNE 1, 2025: An Egyptian man living in Colorado, used a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails to attack a group in Boulder, CO, participating in a solidarity walk for the hostages taken from Israel during the Hamas-led October 7 attacks.

MAY 21, 2025: Shooting suspect Elias Rodriguez has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after two Israeli embassy staff were killed in Washington DC.

APRIL 13, 2025: A Harrisburg, PA man charged with what police said was a “targeted attack” on Gov. Josh Shapiro’s official residence admitted hatred toward Shapiro and planned to beat him with a hammer if he encountered Shapiro inside the home.

JANUARY 21, 2025: A childcare centre in Sydney, Australia was set alight and antisemitic graffiti was sprayed on the wall.

JANUARY 17, 2025: A home in Sydney previously owned by a senior Jewish community leader was vandalised and two cars were set on fire, with one spray-painted with an antisemitic slur.

DECEMBER 28, 2024: Forrest Kendall Pemberton, a 26-year-old Gainesville resident, was arrested by the FBI on federal stalking charges for allegedly plotting an attack on a major pro-Israel organization in Plantation, Florida.

DECEMBER 18, 2024: An arsonist firebombed Congregation Beth Tikvah, in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Montreal, in the second such attack at the location in the wake of Oct. 7, 2023.

DECEMBER 17, 2024: A George Mason University freshman was arrested by the FBI this week and charged with distributing information about weapons of mass destruction online, after prosecutors say he plotted a mass-casualty attack against people at the Israeli consulate in New York.

NOVEMBER 6, 2024: Masked men attacked two students who were demonstrating in support of Israel at Chicago's DePaul University, resulting in minor injuries.

OCTOBER 26, 2024: Sidi Mohammed Abdullahi faces 14 felony counts, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and attempted murder of a police officer, after allegedly shooting a Jewish man walking to synagogue Saturday morning. The victim was wearing a kippah, a traditional Jewish head covering also known as a yarmulke.

SEPTEMBER 6, 2024: Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a Pakistani citizen living in Canada, was arrested and charged with planning a mass shooting at a Jewish center in Brooklyn around October 7, 2024 in support of the Islamic State, the Department of Justice said.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2024: German police shot dead an Austrian suspected Islamist gunman in Munich in an exchange of fire close to the Israeli consulate.

JULY 16, 2024: A Georgian national has been indicted for allegedly planning a mass casualty attack on Jews and racial minorities in New York City, as well as encouraging others to commit similar violent acts. He is accused of hatching a plot that involved dressing up as Santa Claus and handing out poison-laced candy to children at Jewish schools in Brooklyn, as well as to racial minorities.

JUNE 2024: A Jordanian national broke into a solar power generation facility in Wedgefield, Florida, and caused more than $450,000 in damage. In May 2025, he was sentenced to six years in U.S. federal prison for threats against and attacks on businesses over their perceived support for Israel, after pleading guilty in December.

MAY 31, 2024: An arsonist attempted to burn down the Schara Tzedeck Synagogue in Vancouver, igniting a fire at the entrance as evening prayers were ending.

MAY 25, 2024: Shots were fired at a Jewish girls’ school in Toronto. The school was subsequently targeted twice more by gunfire in 2024.

MAY 17, 2024: French police shot dead a knife-wielding Algerian man who set fire to a synagogue and threatened police in the city of Rouen.

MAY 1, 2024: Warsaw authorities detained a teenager after a historic synagogue in Poland's capital was hit by a bottle containing a flammable substance, police said.

NOVEMBER 16, 2023: A 53-year-old man was arrested in Tokyo after crashing a car into a barricade near the entrance of the Israeli embassy and injuring a police officer.

OCTOBER 18, 2023: Two hooded men threw Molotov cocktails at a synagogue in central Berlin.

OCTOBER 10, 2024: A shooting took place near an Israeli target in the city of Gothenburg, which Denmark's national broadcaster said was a unit of Israeli defence electronics firm Elbit Systems.

These are only a small number of the many violent attacks on Jews, Jewish organizations, synagogues and Jewish schools around the globe. In addition, an ongoing campaign of intimidation is being conducted at university campuses and public spaces where threats against Jews are commonly heard as well as physical assaults.

Many believe this is in response to the Gaza War but is it really?
